Jade – jade is often referred to as the Stone of Dreams, but is also known as the Yu stone in China, and the Spleen Stone in Mesoamerican cultures. Etymologically speaking, the term ‘jade’ comes from the Spanish Conquistadors’ description of the Spleen Stone – piedra de hijad – which is later translated as pierre de jad in French.
